Font Maker Professional has all the flexiblity and facilities in the FULL version but with the addition of comprehensive Bitmap abilities. This opens up the vast array of printers that are restricted to the use of Bitmap fonts. Fonts may be created for a variety of outputs including screen fonts.

This is a special version, PROFX, and includes support for Xerox printers.

Xerox printers
Many Xerox printers use the printer language XES (Xerox Escape Sequence) or have an XES mode available. Printers requiring PCL are also supported.

The special Xerox support version of Font Maker, PROFX, is available from DERVAL Computer Services Ltd.

Font Maker PROFX can both Read and Write fonts in XES either in Portrait or Landscape orientation.

Any Bitmap font Created by Font Maker is now available on an XES printer up to a point size limit of about 40. The total font size limit of XES may be avoided by using the Remapping modules to create fonts limited to codes 33-127.

Import and Export from/to 3700 and 9700 formats is also included and again includes both Portrait and Landscape.

Just one advantage is that any of the thousands of TrueType fonts available could be converted to Bitmap and then to a Xerox font, automatically!
